My tailor is rich : lesson two

I've just watch the movie "Juno" (very nice by the way) and would like to share with you two idioms that I've particularly liked :

- The first one is an expression: "Go fly a kite!", which means something like "Va te faire cuire un oeuf!" but in a much more poetic way, in my opinion...
As English-speaking people are very imaginative, you can also use alternative expressions such as "Go jump in the lake", "Take a hike" (a hike = a walk) or "Get lost" (or even "Fuck off" but that's not very polite and we are not rude people), but my favourite is definitely the one with the kite...
 
 
- The second one is a word that sounds so nice : "Shenanigan".
I can't trace its etymology back but you could imagine that it comes from an Irish name (Sean Hannigan?) or an Indian (from America) word, maybe for a ceremony involving the spirits of the ancestors.. but this is just idle speculation.
As for the meaning, it is a synonym of "deceit" (tromperie), "trick" (ruse). Often used in plural, it stands for "tricky or questionable practices or conduct" or "high-spirited or mischievous activity".
